SOUTH CHINA BEAT POLICE 3-9 FUZ
Chinese Narrowly Miss Scoring On Several Occasions
THOUGH it was only by the narrow margin of 3-2 that South China boat the Police in a First Division soccer match at Boundary Street yoster- day, the number of occasions on which the Chinese only just failed to score belie the inference that they were hard put to secure their victory.
It was, however, an excellent game-fast and clean. There were, it is true, two penalties that resulted in goals -one for each-but the infringements could safely be put down to over-enthusiasm at critical moments.
Results In Brief
The brisk short-passing move- | ments were favourable to the fast moving South China XI, which was led once again by the redoubtable Leo, Wal-tong, put the latter was too well marked by Gough and Pope, to be of any Royal Scots exceptional assistance to the Navy
Chinese van.
