Despatches from Rome suggest that a three-pronged Italian invasion of Egypt has already begun. This is not officially confirmed.

Hints from the Italian capital, says "United Press" indicate that the drive against the Suez Canal has been timed to start with the climax of the Battle of Britain and possibly with an attempted Nazi invasion of the British Isles.

This brings the total since the start of the epidemic to 352. More than fifty per cent of the cases bave been fatal.

Of the 104 coses notified yesterday all but three occurred in Old and New Kowloon. The remaining three were reported from Shaukiwan, the New Territories and the Harbour.

Units of the Fleet Air Arm also went into action on Wednes- day on a large geale, bombing Italian troop concentrations, air- helds and units of the Italian Navy.
