In accordance with the wishes of His Majesty the King,' special services were hold in churches of all denominations in Hongkong yesterday, when the first Sunday after the anniversary of the outbreak of war was observed as a day of national prayer. Volunteer nurses and Servicemen formed a large part of the congregation at St. John's Cathedral and Volunteers paraded at the Catholic Cathedral service. Royal Air Force personnel attended the service at Christ Church, Kowloon Tong.
Special hymna were sting and prayers offered at all churches where the preachers stressed the importance of prayer la the Empire's struggle.
