AQUATIC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Keenest Competition Expected In All Races For Colony Titles
(By "Ripple")
INTEREST OF SWIMMERS this month will bo centrod not on any particular gala but on the Colony Championships that will take place on September 25, 26 and 28. And from the serios of successful galas that have been held by respoc- tive Clubs during the season it is very apparent from the spectators' point of view that in few of the events will there be anything like a walk-over for any competitor.
The only events in which one may, I think, make any sort of forecast are the breast-stroke and the back-stroke. There is yet a local swimmer to come over the horizon to

not say it will be for first place. ; for there is yet David Hutchin- son to consider together with Ng Nin and Tommy Kew.
At West Point on Thursday night, Nin broke the Chinu national re- cord for the G0 metres In 20.8 seconds, while it should not be for- gotten that Tommy Kew was clocked 24% at the Y.M.C.A. n little while ago for a 50 yards dash in a rolay
