NEW YORK, Aug, 17 (UP)~Onts three games were played in the Major Baschall Lesruca te-day, two in the Naisonal and one in the America177. Rain washed out the remainder.

A Soccer Club Makes Money!

IT is typical of the topsy-

turvy nature of things that while most of the famous Soccer clubs lost money last season, one of the "Cinderellas" has just reported a profit.

The club is Barrow, and the profit, axactly £8 19. 6d. As the chair. man, Mr. E. J. Davies, says, "the club has reason to be proud of the results of a very difficult season.”
