INNOVATIONS for Colony Swimming Champion-' ships were approved at a re- cent meeting, when it has also decided that the competitions be held from September 23-28.
The new events, which should adel considerably to the interest in the annual meeting, will be as follows!
(i) The Butterfly Stroke will be recognised, as it is in Shanghai, and future Interport contests will inclutte races for this stroke.
(2) Women's Events will include, besides the usual 100 yards free-style:}
~ 50 yards freestyle.
400 yards free-style.
100 yards breast-stroke.
100 yurds back-stroke,
*150 yards medley relay.
200 yards freestyle relay.
(3) Rejsys to be recognised NE championship events will be:

A RECORD CROWD should be present at the European Y.M.C.A., Kowloon, on Saturday when the season's biggest gala-European "Y" v. Lai Tsun v. Chung Sing v. V.R.C.—will be hold. From the 50 yards free-style to the 440 free-style, in the back-stroke and breast-stroke events, and in the relays and modley relays there will be keen competition from start to finish.
Perhaps, in the 440 free-style will be seen the keenest competition of all. Should the four best of these Clubs turn out-W. Lawrence (V.R.C.), Chan Chun-nam (Lai Tsun), Ng Nin (Chung Sing) and G. T.
