Do you think it would be possible to induce our local public to aid in alleviating the Indian famine? If we could hold a meeting, get up a fair amount of subscriptions and send a Hong Kong steamer laden with rice to Madras it might stimulate the Australian and other Colonies to contribute in proportion, and then the result would perhaps...
