The Petition of Kong Wan Shaw of the Tung Cheung Shop No. 15, Wing Thing Buildings praying that Your Excellency will be pleased to forward his petition to the Governor with a view that some action may be taken for removing the restriction imposed by the Government on the development of the trade of Konghing, Swatow, &c.
That your petitioner's uncle, Kong Wan Shaw, has for many years peacefully and uninterruptedly carried on the business of the Tung Cheung timber shop in the Wing Thing Buildings at Queen's Road West.
On the 23rd of this month (31st ultimo), the shop was closed...
