SIGHTING THEIR GUNS, the L.M.S. let fly last night in the battle with the Naval officers of the Exchange Hotel, Liverpool (owners, the L.M.S. Railway), who have struck against paying an extra 10 per cent. service charge on drinks and refreshments taken in the public lounge.
The officers already pay a ten per cent, service charge Introduced last month to replace tips. It is added to their hotel bills, making them 16s. 6d. a day, and £5 15s. 6d. a week. - -
