However, he finally accepted n Columbia contract in 1932 and his first film role was in "The Bitter Tea of General Yen."
Later he appeared in "Lady for 'a Day" with Mary Robson, "A Man's Castic" with Spencer Tracy, "Paddy, the Next Best Thing" with Janol Gaynor, and many other films,
One of his last pictures to be seen in Hongkong was "Fifth Avenue Girl" in which he co-starred Ginger Rogors.
