I take this opportunity of asking Your Lordship's permission to now pay to the Labuan Government the sum of $500 as the residue of the ten years purchase of the island of Kuraman which under the Land Ordinance of ... that colony enables the holder of a lease of 999 years (which is the term of the lease I hold) to compound for the annual rent.
