Case of Regina versus Chan. The information of his Excellency The Governor.
Charged on the 29th November 1876 with having,
in or about the month of August 1875,
feloniously stolen, from the dwelling house
of one Chan Chaps, a hawker, one jacket and one pair of trousers, the property of
the said Chan Chaps; but there being no evidence to substantiate the charge, was
called upon to give security in one householder of $25 to be forthcoming when
required.
