Indian Batsmen Defy Recreio Attack: Farce
A
At The Kowloon C.C.
THE GLORIOUS CRICKET WEATHER which favoured the begining of the season had entirely departed by Saturday fast, which was as cold an afternoon as I have known for a long time. There: was a most unpleasantly bitter wind at times at Sookunpoo, and in spite of two sweaters and a What, the unior- heavy overcoat I was none too warm. tunate players felt like I don't know, but I blame no man for dropping a catch on such a day. Talk about Keats's owl!

The Beerein batted firet, and the chief feature of their inning way a fhe kumek of 72 by L. G Goune, who wa usund opened the inninga with his brother Ziobe. It is, speaking subject to curren- tlon, his highest geure in Senior League matches to date. J. M.! Gang (19) and P. M. N. da! Biz (22) helped, my runs came quity, that just before 4 o'clock turned the same into a comph la Rodrigues was able to declare at 170 for a wiekets. Several catches, were put down but, as I have said, in that
