Attractions To Kwanti On Boxing Day: Special Sweep On Fanling
Cup: Big Crowd Silver Trophy Or Cash For Winning Owner?
Expected
AFTER DESERTING FANLING for more than nine months, Kwanti will again be the land of the living, when, on Boxing Day, the "old time" jumpers will return into the arena to give a dis- play of steeple-chasing and hurdling over the fences and sticks. The Fanling Hunt and. Race Club could not have chosen a better day for their official opening meet on account of the Xmas holidays, and I am sure a big crowd of racing en- thusiasts will wend their way to the country course.
For the convenience of racing public there will be special trains to and from Fanling, but I have not been able to ascertain the time of departure. The Railway first class return fare is $2 including admission to the Race course. Admission to the Public Enclosure is $1, and Ser- vice Men in uniform are charged half price.

TAIPO HANDICAP Only Four Entries THERE are only four entries in the curtain raiser, the Taipo Handicap, a steeplechase for China ponies over 11⁄2 miles, but the absence of Arabian Cat, Diogenes, Estover, Jack O'Lan- tern and March Brown (all worthy jumpers) is very con- spicuous among the list, and it seems to confirm that oven Fanling owners prefer to run their mokes on the flat owing to the substantial stake money.
All the ponies named have been entered for the two handicap flats, {~{~|~|~|~|~|~||~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~| and no doubt Clowner would have
