Pinn the Karots beforehand; children, when they're invited to a party, expect a party-not a rowdy gathering they could have practically any day.
Think of more games thanı are likely to be needed, o that if une beking to go a little fut you can start a new ofle before any one gets bored.
Try to keep the children an much to the same age as possible. Up to seven or eight years they like n mixed party, from eight to fourteen a gathering of their own sex, and from fouricen onwards a mixed one agrains,

For quiet games the old guessing ond hiding games are best. If you old curtains and can spare any clothes for dressing-up, charades are grand for the older children.
The younger ones can play Cobbler, Cobbler. Mend My Shoe, Poor Pussy and the Parson's Cat. Every one knows the first two; the last is played by the children taking it in turns to describe
