TRIANGULAR TOURNAMENT PROPOSAL
Suggested Substitute NAVY XV BEAT CLUB 66A99
For The Navy: Sappers Gain Another Victory
WITH REFERENCE to the Triangular Tour- nament, I suggested a few weeks ago that a team from the H.K.H.A. might be substituted for the Royal Navy who are not participating this season. A further proposal has reached me from a Military source, suggesting that the Army be permitted to field two separate teams-one of Indians and the other of Europeans-instead of a mixed team as at prosent,
This, I think, is a brilliant suggestion, as the combined Army would be too strong a team for the Hongkong Club or the Association, and I would draw the attention of the Triangular Tournament Committed to consider the matter.
The games, if staged, should prove most interesting.
IN their League encounter al King's Park last Saturday, St. Andrew's could only draw 1-1 with the Hongkong Ladies, The failure of both sides to score more goals was due to the in ability of the players to control the ball on a very bumpy sur- face.
Though the Saints scared findi through Misa H. Reid, their attack; was never too impressive. Miss F Wong on the right wing, was the best forward on view, but her bril liant centres often went begging at the others in the attack were never Up to intercept them.

Decided Improvement In Play
(By "Fly-half")
YESTERDAY evening: at the Club ground, a Navy team defeated Club "A" by eleven points (a goal and two tries) to nine (three tries) in a game in which the back divisions were given the ball and made good use of it. It was a decided improvement on the scrappy "A" matches of late.
Navy fielded a strong side I which included a few of the Ist XV players, and credit is due to the Club players who stuck to their task manfully.
Five minutes after the kick-off, |O'Riordan left Club standing when The dashed over for n try which was converted by King. Roscoe, in I forward rush, went over for Club's reply.
