Thomas Grey, Inspector of Police even defroth. The 1st prisoner is charged with stealing a silver watch from the person of Mr Amant when in the Central Market this day. And the 2nd prisoner with receiving the said watch knowing it to have been stolen.

I believe I can bring evidence and apply for remand.

Remanded until the 20th

I awn a cook. I was lodging with M. Vincent at the Frank Bakery. At about 8 a.m. on the 19th inst. I went to the Central Market accompanying W. Pillant who was going to make purchases. I had a silver watch in my inner breast pocket fastened by a button held by a black chain and I bar. Shortly after entering the Central Market, I found that I had not got my watch and chain. They were taken from me and I do not know by whom I was robbed.
