I was yesterday. In the Queen's Road about 6 o'clock I was looking at some handicraft in a stall in the street. I felt something tugging at my pocket. I turned round quick and I saw the prisoner running. I followed him. I stumbled.

I got sight of him again. I had me and I had 3 dollars. I arrested him with Ball and Hales in the pocket. I had been drinking. These were $3 taken. The "five" dollars were found.

ownw, etata: I was carpenter on the Kill. I was not the carpenter. We stopped to buy handkerchiefs. The Carpenter saw somebody picked my pocket. I did not run after him. I did not see him drop anything. Nothing was found on him. When close to the carpenter &c., but there were several Chinese land &c., not see a hand in the pocket.
