The Fascist, Grand Council in a communique Issued after yesterday's dollberations at Venice, stated a clear warning to the Soviet that Russia will be unable to apply the same, methods to the Balkans and the Danube basin as she applied to the Baltic states and to Finland.
Italy, states the Council, will permit no interference in the Balkans, and though the Soviet is not mentioned by name, commentators see in the Communique the most clear warning to Moscow, couched in diplomatic and friendly terms.
At the same time the Fosclat Council re-affirms the strength of the Rome-Berlin Axta and the Italo-German Military Alliance, though the policy of Italian neutrality is confrmed as the wisest course open to Rome, unless her integrity or independence is menaced.
