Vagabund and rogue and old offender frequenting the street apparently with intent to steal, to commit felony, to wilfully annoy persons, particularly drunken seamen. Sentenced to 8 months imprisonment with hard labor.

4th Conviction. 20 May 1876. Leave no .....

Silver watch with black chain attached stolen from the person of a European in the Street. Sentenced to 12 months imprisonment with hard labor and to be twice flogged with 10 strokes each time; and at expiration of imprisonment to find sureties of $25 each to keep the peace and be of good behavior for 12 months.

The prisoner being an incorrigible and dangerous thief and considered a person dangerous to the peace and good order of the colony and having failed to provide the security required of him, I therefore respectfully recommend that he be considered a fit subject for deportation under the provisions of Ordinance No. 8 of 1888, Section XXI.
