In N. Y. Axe Murder
SPECIAL TO THE "TELEGRAPH"
NEW YORK, Dec. 7 (UP)-New angles on the sen sational axe murder of Walter Engleberg, the German Consul in New York, are revealed as the result of investigations by State detectives.
A search of Engleberg's residence has brought to light the fact that he was a "connoisseur" of male nudes.
Sixty photographs of nude men were found in various
rooms in his house.
The discovery has led to the opinion that Engleberg may have met his death--he was killed by blows from an axe- as a result of "immorality".
It was at first thought that vengeance by a Jew may have been the motive. Engleberg was a disciple of the famous Jew-baiter Streicher,
