DONALD DUCK

SUMMONS DISMISSED

After a number of adjournments the summons against Robert Archi- bald Boyd, of Queen's Rond East, for falling to attend the Compulsory Service Tribunal on August 20, was dismissed by Mr. Forrest at Central Magistracy yesterday.

Boyd pleaded at a former hearing that illness had prevented his atten- dance. His mother testified yester- day that he was sick for over a week before going to hospital on August

31.

In dimising the summons, Mr. Forrest said he found defendant had flood excuse for not altending, but had been very stupid by not writinĮ to the authorities explaining his non- attendance.
