THRILLING GAME FOR THE
Chinese Federation Defeat Association
Eleven By 5-3
IN A GAME fraught with thrills, and in which honours were shared evenly by both teams, the Chinese Amateur Federation beat the Hong- kong Football Association by five goals to three in the Governor's Cup match at Causeway Bay yesterday.
In the first half, the Federation completely dominated play, but Association turned the tables, and the Federation defence wore extended to their utmost to stave off defeat.
For the Federation, Lea Wal- tong and Company played their best game to date. But for the vigilance of Williamson and Bright they would have mount-

Negotiations are now in progress for Jack Dempacy, former heavyweight cham- pion of the world, to referee a boxing match in Hong. kong sometime next month. These negotiations are being .carried out by Mr. Vic Hugo, the well-known manager of the Oriental Theatre, with Dempacy's manager, and have reached the stage where if the finan- cial arrangements made arc acceptable Dempsey will be. in Hongkong around Decem- ber 18, which is immediately following tho bout on December 16 between Cefe- rino Garcia and Glenn Lee in Manila.
