CONTRARY to my expectation, there was an excellent day's cricket on Saturday last, al- though there were several absentees in Camp.
The whole day match against the Civil Service at the H.K.C.C. ground was a most successful affair, though I think there were three members of the second eleven in- cluded in the Club side. T. E. Pearce made a welcome reappearance, and batted in his usual excellent style.

AN ENQUIRY into the recent hockey incident which led to the abandonment of the D.G.S.-Recreio "R" match was held yesterday at a meeting of the Hongkong Ladies Hockey Association.
The Inquiry yesterday found that the Schoolgirla were to blame for disputing the decisions of one of the umpires, alikough it was at Recrclo's suggestion that Mr. Gonsalves, one of the officiating ampires, decided to abandon the game.
The Diocesan Girls School were warned that repetition of a similar incident in the future would entall suspension for the rest of the season. The inquiry suggested that in future either the gym mistress or one of the school's mistresses prezent at the League games.
