quoted an amazing state- ment about the Anglo- Franco-Turkish agreement which it was alleged had been taken from an article by the Istanbul correspon='|| dent of the "Paris Soir," says a special commentary! on the war situation.
The correspondent is supposed to have written that Turkey had been promised 500 British acro- planes, one-sixth of the petrol production in the Mosul district, the cession of Alexandretta and the withdrawal of half the French troops from the Syrian- | Turkish border.
