Minute by the Attorney General.
The circumstances of the case have been inspected, and I have already given my opinion upon them hypothetically. Under the Ordinance, unless the Officers in question are deemed to have no more right to go about the streets at night without a special pass, I conceive that special paper may be furnished without application.
(Signed) G. Phillippe, Attorney General.

Spanish officer of Vessels of war would have to go about at night—similarly unprovided in the street of Gibraltar.
His Excellency may, however, if he pleases give instruction.
