DANZIG, Aug. 28 (UP),—PREPARATIONS for the defence of the Free City are now practically comploto.

It is estimated that between fifteen and twenty thousand men equipped with modern weapons are now guarding the 75 miles of Corridor frontier, many of them having slipped in from Germany to supplement the Home Guards and police force.

There are trenches, wire entanglements and machine-gun nests along the entire border with anti- aircraft and anti-tank guns at all strategic points particularly in the vicinity of the Free City's harbour.
