The last paragraphs of this despatch might be made a peg to hang the purpose on as to a resuscitation of the Hongkong Mint. Oh dear Unhappy Mutual I see no reason why the Govt of Hongkong should not confer with that of the Straits on the subject.

but I am inclined to believe that at present it would be cheaper to coin in England a British Dollar.

I am afraid it would be a very considerable undertaking to re-establish the Mint.
