HAPPENINGS

AS SEEN BY THE CAMERA'S EYE

TWO TEAMS of women from Kent and Sussex played in a stoolball match at Tunbridge Wells. The game is of ancient origin, although very little is known of how it began. The modern game has made progress in recent years and several thousand clubs are members of the Stoolball Association, which was founded at Lord's in 1924.
