Mr. Campbell-Orde's mission is to visit as many of the Imperial ait stations overavas as possible. It is expected that much good will come out of this long journey, for, it is not only to have a personal knowledge of his overatas staffs that ho left England. Mr. Campbell Orde's greater desire is to sea how the Imperial service can be improv ed and, if practicabic, augmented. During his short stay here he will discuss several important subjects with postal and other authorities, One of them to the triplication of the service to Hongkong.
Although at present there are three services a week on the main trunk route from London to Hongkong is served only twice week.

Mr. Lawrence Kodoorie, of Hong- kong, and his brother Mr. Horace been Kadoorle, of Shanghal, have awarded the Cross of Chevalier of the Legion of Honour for services in connection with the founding of charitable, educational and medical institutions.
