The most dramatic failure of Henry Cotton to break the record of the course, and head the field, was the final drama of a day of astonishing golf here at the open championship to-day.
With five holes to play, it was within the compass of D-itain's No. 1 golfer to do a round of 67, und more than 20,000 people saw him crash as completely as ever a great man lins toppled.
