In reference to the rule made by Sir AF Kennedy, I beg to observe that as the Barrister enjoys the same salary as Assistant Postmaster-General as my increased salary as Chief Clerk in the Registrar General's Office, I fail to see how the rule is applied.

I beg most respectfully to submit that if I am deprived of this appointment at this time, it bears particularly hard upon me.

I have always performed the duties of the office satisfactorily, I believe, and today I have completed 17 years in the Service.
