I have thought it desirable to request the Attorney General to draw up a report of the case, with a view to ascertaining whether he is right in his exception to the extent of the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, and also whether, if right, it is desirable to make any provision for dealing with similar cases in future.
I have now the honor to enclose this report, and I shall be much obliged if Your Lordship will give your considerations to the point which the Attorney General has raised.
