I beg to transmit papers with the request that Your Lordship will be pleased to consider favourably my application to be permitted to retire from the service with a pension from the 12th instant on account of ill health which prevents me from doing active duty any longer, and I beg to enclose a certificate from the Colonial Surgeon.
