On the 1st October 1864 joined as a Turnkey on board the Convict Hulk Stone Cutter's Island and resigned on 2nd March 1865.
Joined Victoria Gaol as 2nd Class Turnkey on 1st January 1866, promoted to 1st Class Turnkey on 1st March 1866 and to Head Turnkey on 1st September 1866.
Transferred to Police Department on 1st January 1867 and resigned 30th June 1868.
