Third Annual Race To Be Held To-day: Entries From England And Italy

Atlantic City, N. J. Leading motorboat drivers of the United States have entered the third annual Around-Absecon-Island race to be held May 30 at Atlantic City. Entries are promised also from England, Italy and Canada, making it an inter- national affair. Between 40 and 50 contestants are ex- pected altogether.

interest is

Much of the British credited to 5. Mortimer Auerbach, Allantle City sportsman who spon- sors this event, and Melvin Crook of Montclair, N. J. Both campaigned

in England successfully

last year, Auerbach winning the Duke of York's International Gold Challenge, Trophy at Torquay. Auerbach also holds several American records and has been proclaimed "the outstand: ing figure in motorboat sport" by the Regatta Circuit Riders' Club.
