I have sent for you because I want you to have an opportunity of doing something which may save you from imprisonment. If you like to tell me that you regret having written this grossly offensive letter to me about my publie duties and actions, I will see that no more need be said or done.

An appeal for 2,000 volunteers to give blood to be stored for transfusion in the event of war is being made by the Leeds Blood Transfusion Society. City hospitals are to provide facilities for storing the blood.

Americans Say War Would Draw In U.S.
Latest survey by the American Institute of Pub. fic Opinion shows that 57 per cent. of those who answered believe the United States will be drawn in if war starts in Europe.
In this new survey the Institute put three ques- tions:
