¡R. EMILIO SCALA, the Battersea cafe owner who won a big sweepstake prize eight years ago, stood recently in Pagani's Restaurant, where kings and princes have dined, and addressed the 200 guests he had invited to his son's wedding.
He said he was going to offer no philosophy to the young couple, but would wish them happier times than some of their elders had experienced.
"They know where the golden eggs are," he said, "and per- haps they know where the geese are."' At which sally there was loud laughter.
At a rough estimate this wedding party cost something near a thousand pounds. The 200 guests, together with some gate- where the police had to keep back the large crowds.
His Excellency the Governor, Sir Geoffry Northcote, was among tho big crowd in attendance, and was un the cabaret interested spectator of entertainment which, because of the big crowd, was singed on both floor. Although the entertainment was confined exclusively 10 dancing items, it was staged on such a well balanced programme that it never lagged and fully deserved tho big crowd's plaudits. For this credit goes to Miss Daisy O'Keefe, in whose hands the staging of the cabaret show had been entrusted, and who succeeded in presenting a floor show widely different to the usual type of entertainment provided The cabaret afford many people in Hongkong their first opportunity of witnessing the "notorious French Con-Con in an attractive number

The normal height for a three-years-old boy should range from 25 to 41 inches.
The boy, whose name is unrevealed, is still grow- ing rapidly, and doctors believe that a discase of an adrenal gland is the reason for the abnormality.
They hesitated to guess how tall the child will eventually become and pointed out that the boy is happy and comfortable, although a little fretful at being separated from his parents.
The child's whole body is growing, the internal organs keeping pace with the rapid growth of the limbs, head, and torso.
