near Cape d'Aguilar - which the Consul appears to have described to The Chinese Viceroy as "a disrespect to the dignity of the Hong Kong Government" - treating apparently this violation of British territory as a matter of Colonial Concern; instead of Imperial. It is worse than the Shekkar cases which the Foreign Office presses so persistently = I would send F.O. extracts of these minutes relating to the matter pr. 131, 138/9. and of the letter: regretting that firmer language has not been used to plainly state our outrage at this insult to British soil.
