ENJOYABLE RACING IN MACAO EXPECTED ON SUNDAY

ENTRIES UP TO MARK IN

IN APRIL MEET OF CLUB

SPECIAL DOLLAR SWEEP ON GOVERNOR'S CUP

(By "Captain Foster")

Very satisfactory entries have been received for the April Race Meeting of the Macao Jockey Club to be held at Areia Preta on Sunday. I understand that the s.s. Tai- shan will be on the run. The time of her departure is not yet advertised, but it must no doubt be the usual 9.30 a.m.

With the curtain dropped down at Kwant, Sunday holiday makers and followers of the turf will no doubt look forward to Macao to provide them with a good day's sport among the lower classes of China ponles.

The Mucao Jockey Club has left no stone tmturned, for in addition to the major contest, the Governor's Cup presented by His Excellency the Macao Guvernor, there will be a cup to the most successful jockey who scores the highest points, five for win, two for a second and one for a trd.

mile, but we needn't worry about Style, who has been given a smack in the head and la bow in the hoppy hunting grounds. The Fanling hur- dier, King's Parade, is in this sec- tion and I certainly funcy him to win. Although he was not mong the first three, I was much impressed with his running in the Oldtimers' Handicap at Kwanti on March 12. when he finished fourth in the com- pany of "D" class ruters. It may perhaps be of interest to know that this chestnut and other Fanling 'chasers such as Double Chance, Dlogenes, Ebony Idol, Sylvandale There are seven attractive events and Zero are trained by a clever and on the card, special dollar cash smart halberdier who has won a few

In the second section of the same event, National Dignity has a heavy

Both as I liave been given to understand Latitat and Persian Cat are nicely flint the owner wants to have a go-weighted, but the book form reveals at the Governor's Cup. I like Fairy that the former is not a good mifer. Ousel, but Gold Clause is a danger I have not much news about Persian provided of course he does not net Cat, which is being trained in the goat.
