The Carrier Corporation's 1938 earnings show a loss of $1,000,000. The Electric Bond and Share Company'a 1938 earnings amounted to 18 cents per share.

Air conditioning business for 1030 is estimated at 25 per cent, over 1930,

The week's electric output was 11.3 per cent, above the corresponding period of last year.

The National Gypsum Company's January and February profit was $59,000, against $5,000 during the same months lost year. The Norfolk & Western Railway Company's March gross income was up by 22 per cent. The gain in carloadings is above seasonal,

The Chilean Senate has approyed a 10 per cent, tax on mining profits.
