In your honored letter of 8 December 1876, No 740, mention is made of an information, given by Your Excellency to me in October last, about our Governments being in matter of a postal Convention between the Colonies- I am sorry to say the letter you allude to must have been lost as none containing such information, indeed of that date, ever reached His Excellency The Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Hongkong.
