GLENROY RECEPTION New Vessel Viewed By Local Shippers

last community evening attended a reception aboard the new Glen line ship Clenroy, which arriv- ed here on Monday on her muiden voyage from England.
A sister-ship to the Glencarn, which arrived here late in January, the Glenroy is the second of a fleet of eight passenger-cargo liners to be placed on the Far East-England run of the Glen Line. The ship has a speed of 18 knots on normal schedule,
On the way out the ship, created a record at Singapore for the speed with which the electric winches handled the cargo.
Accommodation on the Glenroy is similar to that of the Glenearn, Twelve passengers are carried in well appointed suites. There is a cocktall bar and a modern lounge.
