Russian Punches Magistrate's Nose
A Dover magistrate. Mr. Willar S. Lee, appeared at Canterbury Police Court recently with a swollen nose and told how he had been Assaulted by Jacob Panliz, a 30- years-old Russian hotel worker, of Dane-roud, Margate, at the Canter- bury Labour Exchange.
Mr. Lee, who is chairman of the Eunt Kent Appeals Committer, said that Panitz came before them and had his appent dismissed, the effect being that he would have to go to a public assistance institution.
The man then lost his head and punched him on the nose, breaking

Panitz said he acted on the spur' of the moment.
He was sentenced to one month's hard labour on each charge of assaulting Mr. Lee and the constable, and
