In consequence of your having intimated that the tonnage of the "Ichang" has been erroneously computed, Section 26, Merchant Shipping Act 1854.
You have been incorrectly informed as to the original measurement of the "Minshan"
were "Kinkiang": Then vessels registered at less than a half of their present tonnage

Gentlemen,
In reply to your letter of yesterday's date, I have the honor to inform you that the system by which the steamers "Kinshan" and "Kinking" have been measured is the same as that adopted in England, that is, in accordance with the Merchant Shipping Act 1854.
Any spaces which have been added to the "Ichang's" tonnage
