Mr. W. Hope-Jones, Old Etonian teacher of mathematics at Eton, Buttered the educational and arithmetical duve-rotes of Britain when he delivered his presidential address to the Mathematical Association at King's College.
He suggested it would be easier to do, and easier to check, If the sum were worked out as follows:
