Shanghai 4 Receives Handicap In Chief Event Of The Meeting

(De "Captain Foster")

Good entries have been received for the February Race Meet- ing of the Macao Jockey Club to be held at Arcia Preta on Sun- day. The first saddling bell will be rung at 1.30 p.m. sharp.

The 8.8. Taishan will depart from the Canton steamers' wharf at 9.30 a.m., returning at 6 p.m.

There are six Interesting handleap events the card, the main being the Chunghun Cup over a mile and a special dollar cash sweep is con- ducted or this race.

which is another run over, the same course, the order of the falsh should be National Dignity, Stymic and Cricketer.

The Kun Hua Handicap, confined to "D" das China ponies over five Jurlongs, to be ridden by novices, looks very open. Sylvandale, after his fine run at Fanling, should be respected, but I like The Leopard and Gold Sovereign.

Persian Cat has my vote for the Republican Handleap (second sec- tion) with Cloudy Star and Eagle to fill the minor positions.
