Largest Vessel Ever Built In Hongkong Dockyards
The Breconshire, 10,000 ton passenger-cargo liner, of the Glen Line, was Inunched at Talleo dock yesterday by Lady Northcote, wife of the Governor, before a large crowd. The ship is the largest ever built in Hongkong, and save for two built in Australin, the largest to be built in the British Commonwealth. outside the United Kingdom.
After the ceremony, more than 1,000 guests were entertained at a reception in the moulding loft building, when the Governor, Sir Geoffry Northcote, spoke.
