Sub-section (4) of section 45A of the Offences Against the Person Or- dinance, No. 2 of 1805, as printed in Volume 1 of the Ordinances of Hong- kong (1037 Edition), provided that !! should be no defence to a charge under the section that the minor, whose tranfer was the subject of a prohibited transaction, consented to I or received, the whole or any part of its consideration. The substituted section 45A, enacted by Ordinance No. 10 of 1838, which no longer limited tho offence to transactions concern- ing minors and which made it in- dictable, contained na provision relai- Ing to the consent of the person trans- ferred or to his recolpt of any part of the consideration.
