WITH THE INSURGENT VANGUARD ALREADY ENGAGED IN
STREET FIGHTING AMIDST THE RUINS OF THE FIRST HOUSES IN BARCELONA PROPER, WHICH THEY REACHED AT 10.20 P.M. ON TUESDAY NIGHT (6.20 A.M. YESTERDAY H.K.T.) THE IMMINENT FALL OF THE ENTIRE CITY. NOW APPEARS CERTAIN.
Confirmation for this was given early this morning by the British cruiser Devonshire, which has wirelessed the Admiralty in London that "the fall of Barcelona is imminent."
